Roy is my sister's father in law and our family has been blessed to have some of his woodwork in our home. Thank you Jo Ann with LOVE from the entire Giovannetti Family, Jan, Jim, Kim, Vince Charlie & Carolyn To the entire Hobbs Family, may God's peace and loveassist you all to know that Jo Ann is indeed in a better place and you will all be comforted. She was a terrific wife, mother and person in ALL aspects of her life and I will never forget her words of wisdom she passed on to Jan and me when we were struggling with a very personal issue at home. I do not say this in a boasting way but to recognize the reinforcement that kids got at home and in some of their classrooms. Her recitals were deadlines that taught self discipline and mental toughness! Her lessons were life skills applicable to all phases of our children's lives and I am proud to say they are all extremely successful. She taught so much more than music! She taught preparation, practice, mental preparedness and appreciation. I never considered her a piano teacher but as more of a Piano Coach. She was extremely invested in the development of our children's lives. To the entire Hobbs Clan, we were all devastated by the news of Jo Ann's passing. I am very sorry I could not be there to support my family in their time of need. I am very grateful that my last visit to IL, I was able to see my Uncle and have him meet my son. However, these past few days since his passing, when I look in the mirror, I am reminded of the "gift" he gave me so many years ago and laugh. He would reply by saying "You will be bald too some day" and promptly follow up with a noogie. For years, when I was younger, I would make fun of my Uncle for being bald. The last story I will leave you with is about Karma. My Uncle Jim and Aunt Heidi even bought me first screwdriver set for Christmas I still have a few of them left in my tool set, and I still use those drywall tips to remodel my home. As a Painter during the summer months, I often asked my uncle for tips and tricks for hanging, taping, repairing drywall. We also formed a bond through our careers. It brought me great joy to see how excited he was to have watched the game. He was so amazed by how powerful and strong people would tackle even without should pads and a helmet to protect them. In my college years I was able to introduce him to the world of Rugby. I remember many moments of watching their car drive away from my home wondering when they would return. When they visited we would spend the day eating, drinking, laughing, and showing off our latest wrestling moves. My Uncle shared my childhood passion for sports, most notably wresting. TRAA, FWPD, Neighborhood Code Enforcement, AEP, and NIPSCO all responded and assisted on scene.Growing up I always looked forward to family gatherings with my Uncle Jim, Aunt Heidi, and their family.
